Dissertation Day

Aug: 3- Sept. 11: Writing Center operations are modified Aug. 3-Sept. 11 due to construction on the fourth floor of the Teaching and Learning Complex. Consultations will be virtual and center staff will relocate to Room 1211 in the Teaching and Learning Complex. Read our update for details.

Writing Center location in the Teaching and Learning Complex

This free, all-day event at the Writing Center in the Teaching and Learning Complex features writing workshops in the morning, followed by dedicated writing time in the afternoon. The event is suitable for students just starting their dissertation. In-person attendees (limited to 50 participants) will receive lunch and access to Writing Center consultants and research librarians during writing time. Virtual attendees can view the writing workshops and goal-setting and reflection components of writing time.

Event sponsors include GradPathways Institute, UC Davis Library Researcher Services and the UC Davis Writing Center.
