Writing Center

Teaching and Learning Complex

The Writing Center is located on the fourth floor of the new Teaching and Learning Complex at UC Davis, which opened in fall 2022 to serve as a hub for student instruction, informal gathering and faculty research. The complex is located at the center of campus near The Silo, Student Community Center and transportation terminals.

This state-of-the-art, four-story, 101,663-square-foot facility includes space for approximately 2,000 students throughout its 20 modern lecture and interactive learning spaces, as well as multiple indoor and outdoor group study areas. In addition, many of the classrooms feature high-tech display technologies and facilitate research on multiple teaching styles.

The Center for Educational Excellence, also a unit of Undergraduate Education, provides an educational series to support instructors with active learning strategies to enhance instructors’ abilities to lead active learning and maximize student engagement.
