Ryan Wright

Ryan is a writer, media scholar, and video game narrative designer researching how games have been used to measure, model, and mediate cognitive ability. They are currently researching how the experience of dementia symptoms have been imagined in American media since the 1950's, with a focus on how interactive media has represented dementia for "empathy building" training and in recent commercial video games. They co-founded the video game studio Autoscopia Interactive, where they work as a narrative designer, and serve as the in-house copy editor for the journal gamestudies.org.
