Madeline Cooper, M.A.

As the Instructional Support Coordinator, Madeline supports the functions of the University Writing Program overseen by The Writing Center. Her major tasks include, managing the back-end operations of the Writing Placement System, initial assessment of lower and upper division English Composition course equivalencies and articulation agreements, and lower division prerequisite verification. She is also the first line of contact for all undergraduate student inquiries to the Entry Level Writing and Writing Placement email addresses.

Madeline comes to The Writing Center’s Instructional Support Team with six years of higher education administrative support experience and a Master of Arts in English Literature with a concentration in English and Language Arts Pedagogy. In addition, she served as a Teaching Fellow during her graduate studies, lecturing in University of Massachusetts, Boston’s Intermediate Writing Seminar Program, which prepares undergraduate students for their College Level Writing Proficiency Assessment (also known as Electronic Writing Assessment Portfolio or EWRAP). These experiences have led Madeline to build a career and passion toward academic and digital literacy for all students across college level disciplines. She looks forward to continuing this work with UC Davis Undergraduate Students, staff, and faculty!
