Bio

I came to University of California, Davis in the Spring 2022. I'm desert born (Arizona), red-dirt raised (Oklahoma), and cut my teeth teaching in the Bluff City (Memphis, Tennessee). In between my M.F.A. in creative writing and Ph.D. in writing, rhetoric, and technical communciatios, I worked as a professional writer for seven years, writing grants, serving as content manager and editor of magazines and news letters, and writing press releases. Punk rock will forever be in my soul, and I love nothing more than watching students hone their authentic voices.
