Bio
Dr. Moore is a Sacramento native and the Central Valley holds a warm place in her heart. She's a dedicated educator and scholar whose works focuses on literacy equity and social justice. She believes writing is more than a skill—it’s a tool for empowerment.
Her courses invite students to engage with diverse perspectives and composing practices, connect ideas across disciplines, and use their voices to advocate for themselves and others. Dr. Moore weaves activism into her teaching philosophy, empowering students to use writing as a powerful tool for advocacy and societal change. Mentorship is important to her and she works alongside students to help them grow as confident writers, critical thinkers, and active participants in the world around them.
Outside of teaching, she enjoys hikes in Yosemite, baking, reading, cuddling with her two cats, and watching football. Go 49ers.
